 Martin Holles is the visionary behind Ecobia Innovations and the wider Ecobia group. It was Martin who identified the core opportunity that sits at the heart of everything we do that organic waste is not a problem to be buried, it is a resource being thrown away that agriculture desperately needs.  

From that founding idea, Martin built Ecobia Ltd into one of Ireland's most respected sustainable waste technology companies, earning the Gold Innovation Award at IFEX 2024 along the way. 

Ecobia Innovations is the next chapter of that vision taking the same philosophy from Irish food waste management to industrial fertiliser manufacturing in some of the world's fastest-growing agricultural markets.

Martin leads the overall strategic direction of Ecobia Innovations, sets the vision for where the business goes next, and ensures that every facility we build stays true to the founding principle: close the loop, recover the resource, and do it at scale. 

 Ahmad Durrani is the commercial engine of Ecobia Innovations. As Managing Director, Ahmad leads all outreach, prospect development, and relationship management building the partnerships with governments, agricultural cooperatives, distributors, and investors that turn market analysis into real operations on the ground. 

Ahmad's role is the bridge between the opportunity Ecobia Innovations identifies and the people who need to be brought on board to make it happen. 

Whether that is a Ministry of Agriculture in Oman, a farming cooperative network in Sri Lanka, or a development finance institution looking to support sustainable agricultural infrastructure Ahmad is the person in the room making the case and building the trust.  

His focus is not just on winning new business. It is on building the long-term partnerships that give every facility Ecobia Innovations establishes a reliable commercial foundation from day one. 

 Steven McGee is the analytical and technical backbone of Ecobia Innovations. Before a single facility is committed to, before a market is entered, before a production line is specified Steven has already taken it apart and put it back together on paper.  

Steven leads all market feasibility analysis for Ecobia Innovations, assessing fertiliser demand, organic feedstock availability, production cost structures, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments in every market the company considers. His reports form the evidence base on which every strategic and investment decision the company makes is grounded. 

On the technology side, Steven assesses and specifies the processing machinery, production line layouts, and facility configurations for each deployment ensuring the engineering solution matches the market opportunity and the feedstock reality on the ground.  

If Martin identifies where we are going and Ahmad builds the relationships to get us there, Steven makes sure we arrive knowing exactly what we are doing and why it will work.
